Notice
- Not suitable for applications involving contact with food or for applications in structural glazing, on granite and natural stone
- A glass seam seal is not recommended
- Risk of corrosion when used on bare iron and coloured materials
- Must not be applied to materials that may give off substances or by-products over time e.g. insulating and tar-based paints, butyl sealants or EPDM rubbers. Otherwise this may result in discolouration of the sealant or impaired adhesion.
- Due to the large number of varnish and glazing formulations, always carry out your own tests on the area first, especially on alkyd resin paints and powder-coated aluminium
- Yellowing on contact with white alkyd resin paints cannot be excluded
- Use of a smoothing agent may cause the silicone to become cloudy
- Not to be used in conjunction with pre-compressed sealing tapes
Application area
- For sealing in glass, display window, window, display case and furniture construction
- For small-sized bonding, for artistic applications, such as for glass ornaments or glass bricks
Instructions
- The base material must be load-bearing, clean, dry and free from grease, rust and water
- Do not process in heavy rain
- Check the joint dimensions
- Prime the joints with PE backer rod
- Rework dry before the skin forms as the use of smoothing agent can cause the silicone to become cloudy
