Our products featuring the EMICODE label are low emission/environmentally compatible. The EMICODE classification system awards labels to construction products that comply with the very stringent health and environmental requirements of recognised institutes.
Ensure there is sufficient ventilation during the curing phase. Avoid contact with bitumen, tar or plasticiser-emitting materials (EPDM, APTK, NEOPRENE, butyl, insulating coatings and foams) as this may cause incompatibilities.
Do not use in applications involving contact with pre-compressed sealing tapes.
Perfect neutral silicone is not suitable for adhesive bonding or filling hollow spaces. Due to the large number of varnish and glazing formulations available, especially on alkyd resin paints and powder-coated aluminium, always carry out your own tests on the area first.
Sealing expansion joints in façade, glazing, plumbing and flooring applications. Jointing natural stone, e.g. granite, marble and sandstone. For use indoors and outdoors.
The product is also suitable for photovoltaic systems and for sealing laminated glass. (However, direct contact between the conductors and the sealant should be avoided in these applications.)
Double glazing surface compatibility
The substrate must be intact, clean, dry and free from grease, rust and water. Do not use in heavy rain. Observe the joint dimensioning. Prime the joints with PE back-fill material, art. 0875... On absorbent and porous substrates (e.g. concrete), priming (silicone primer 0892170) improves adhesion. When using smoothing agents, it must only be used before the skin formation time and must be completely removed after use with a smoothing tool. Excess quantities next to the joint must also be removed immediately. Otherwise staining may occur. Please observe the "General Notes on Application for Sealants" overview sheet. For more information, please refer to the technical data sheet.
