The information in the data provided is based on our current knowledge and experience. Due to the many possible influences during processing and application of our products, this information does not release the user from the obligation to perform their own inspections and tests, and it does not contain any guarantee of properties or suitability of the product for a particular purpose. It is the responsibility of the user to determine the process capability of their 3D printer and to conduct tests for their use cases using our materials. The values refer to test specimens generated from the semi-finished product and not to values based on printed test specimens.
ASA GF15 (fibreglass-reinforced acrylonitrile styrene acrylate with approx. 15 % fibreglass content) is used in FDM/FFF 3D printing applications that require high stiffness, dimensional stability and temperature and UV resistance. The fibreglass reinforcement makes the material particularly suitable for structural and functional components such as brackets, mounting elements, covers, housings and structural parts that are subjected to constant mechanical loads or weathering. Compared to unfilled ASA and PLA, ASA GF15 has significantly higher dimensional stability and a lower tendency to warp, but it is less impact-resistant and generally better suited to static applications. It is typically used for applications in the automotive sector, exterior engineering parts, mechanical engineering and plant construction and in workshop and operating equipment. Because of the higher processing temperatures and abrasive fibreglass filling, ASA GF15 is better suited to processing in enclosed, temperature-controlled printing systems and is primarily intended for experienced users.
Additional printing guidelines
- High extruder speeds can affect printing accuracy.
- It is recommended to select the speed based on your own experience and approach the upper limit from there.
