The WÜTOP airtight grommet is ideal for bonding on WÜTOP non-breathable and breathable membranes, WÜTOP vapour retarders, barriers and WÜTOP façade membranes and has been tested on these films. For this reason, we recommend using these WÜTOP films to achieve optimum results.
The substrate must be dry and free from grease, chips and dust. Porous and absorbent substrates, such as concrete, plaster, soft particle boards etc. must be pretreated with EURASOL Primer Plus or primer spray.
The grommet must be selected according to the duct dimensions to ensure permanent airtightness and strain relief.
The grommets are talc-powdered ex works. In the case of insufficient sliding properties, please use the talcum powder sachet included and apply to the inner grommet or cable.
Permanent sealing of openings with WÜTOP non-breathable and breathable membranes, WÜTOP vapour retarders and vapour barriers, WÜTOP façade membranes, as well as masonry, concrete, steel, wood fibre and OSB boards indoors and outdoors.
Pull cuff over the pipe. Pull off the protective film. Press the adhesive collar on firmly using press-on roller or plastic spatula. Folds and kinks should be avoided or rolled out carefully.
