Contact pressure
When sanding in a horizontal position, special care must be taken to exert pressure with the weight of the machine alone, without additional pressure by the user. This is necessary to ensure self-sharpening of the disc segments.
Machine speed
If there is a perceptible drop in speed, the pressure should be reduced to allow the pot wheel to cool down and return to the optimum speed.
