  • According to the MLAR (German fire protection directive), those cables covered with the KB SR fire protection fabric are classified as electrical cables with improved fire rating. (Low flammability and low smoke development)

  • Can be used in damp rooms or areas with constant wetness

  • The fire protection fabric consists of a glass filament fabric and complies with building material class, class C-s2 d0 according to DIN EN 13501-1, only inside buildings. Normal flammability, class E according to DIN EN 13501-1, for outside applications

  • The KB SR fire protection bandage has a fire protection coating on the light-grey interior that foams up in the event of a fire

  • The grey exterior of the carrier fabric has a PU coating and can be subjected to damp cleaning without impairing the fire protection characteristics
Notice

Up to building class 3 the fire protection fabric KB SR is approved without the consent of the building supervision below. In addition, the permissibility of application on cables and cable systems along rescue routes is to be decided upon in individual cases by the respective building supervisory board, e.g. in conjunction with the fire protection concept.
