The drainage and protective membrane is laid loosely over finished waterproofing surfaces. With a bitumen coating the dimpled membrane is to be laid with the dimples to the wall. For other attachments, it serves only as a protective layer and is usually laid with the dimples to the ground.
At joints the membrane is to be overlapped by at least 10 cm. At edges, the membrane is to be guided approx. 15 cm further than the sealing surface and sealed against dirt ingress.
The slope must be at least 2% when laid horizontally. Contact with sharp-edged objects must be avoided.
