Ideal application temperature approx. +18 °C to 25 °C. Check compatibility and adhesion before application. If necessary, apply SR plastic adhesion promoter art. 5867000125 to plastic surfaces. Not suitable for polyvinyl chloride (PVC), polystyrene (PS), polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP) and blends of these (e.g. PP/EPDM).
Spot repairs, accident repairs, vehicle body repairs, paint work.
The surface must be free of grease and dust, dry and completely de-rusted.
Pre-treat surfaces accordingly:
- Steel (cleaned and sanded)
- Stainless steel (cleaned, sanded, etched and sandblasted)
- Zinc plated steel (hot-dip galvanised, in-line galvanised and galvanised, cleaned and sanded)
- Aluminium, soft aluminium, anodised aluminium (cleaned and sanded)
- Brass (cleaned and sanded)
- Various plastics (e.g. hard PVC, PPO/PA, ABS, ABS/PC, PC/PBT). Pre-treat these beforehand with plastic adhesion promoter art. 5867000125
- GFRP materials (cleaned and sanded)
- Polyester surfaces (cleaned and sanded)
- Cathodic dip coatings (cleaned and sanded)
- Old or factory paints (cleaned and sanded)
Not suitable for plastic surfaces made of PE, PP, PP blends (e.g. PP/EPDM)
- Before use, thoroughly shake the can for 2 min from when the mixing balls are audible
- Apply 1C epoxy primer in cross coats from a distance of 15 to 20 cm
- Recommended dry layer thickness: 30 μm (approx. 2 spray coatings)
- Maintain an intermediate flash-off time of approx. 3 min between spray coatings
- An optimal finish is achieved at 18 to 25 °C and a relative humidity of 40 to 50 %
- Turn the can upside down after use and spray until the valve is empty.
Drying:
- Degree of dryness 1, dust dry: 6 min
- Degree of dryness 3, touch dry: approx. 15 min
- Can be sanded: approx. 20 min
