Thin and high-performance
- Meets the same requirements as the 1.2 mm thick EPM sealing tape.
- Highly economical through material savings.
- Same performance with less material required for manufacture and application.
- Simple, flexible processing, e.g. in corners.
Watertight and breathable
- High resistance to UV and weathering for permanent, reliable seals.
- Provides a reliable seal against water from outdoors.
- Water vapour permeable membrane allows water vapour to permeate from inside to outside, thereby preventing moisture-related structural damage.
- Excellent resistance to weathering for permanent, highly reliable seals.
Further advantages
- Compensates particularly well for component movements.
- Secure installation even on slightly uneven substrates in combination with EPDM sealing tape adhesive.
- Good compatibility with bitumen.
- Not suitable for seals according to water influence classes W2.2-E (high influence from pressurised water ≤ 3 m immersion depth).
- Tape cannot be plastered over.
Datasheets(X)
- Wall barrier sheet.
- Joints behind perimeter insulating materials.
- Complies with W1.1-E in DIN 18533: Ground moisture and non-pressurised water for floor panels and walls in contact with the ground.
- Complies with W1.2-E in DIN 18533: Ground moisture and non-pressurised water for floor panels and walls with drainage in contact with the ground.
- Complies with W1-E in DIN 18533: External sealing on ceiling surfaces covered with earth and not traversed, with soil moisture and non-pressurised water - non-standing seepage water.
- Complies with W2.1-E in DIN 18533: Moderate influence from pressurised water ≤ 3 m immersion depth.
- Complies with W4.E in DIN 18533: Spray water on the wall socket as well as capillary water in and under walls in contact with the ground.
- Substrates must be load-bearing, dry and free of dust and grease.
- To install, cut the sealing tape to the desired length, apply the EPDM sealing tape adhesive to the substrate and smooth out with a joint knife, apply the tape to the substrate and press lightly with a press-on roller.
- Ensure that the tape is not installed under tension.
- The self-adhesive tape is intended to aid mounting on the frame/element and the tape must be secured with a mechanical fixing as described in DIN 18533.
